02Answers and explanations
The answer to every question above, and why the other options are not it.
Q1 — Listening
A · Show some photo identification
The crew member asks 'May I see some photo identification first?', so the guest has to show a photo document. The pool is only where he last had the card; nobody asks him to go back there.
Transcript: Excuse me, I think I've lost my cabin card. I had it at the pool this morning. Don't worry, sir. I'll cancel the old one and print a new card for you now. May I see some photo identification first?
Q2 — Grammar
A · is sleeping
'at the moment' shows an action in progress now, so the present continuous 'is sleeping' is needed. 'sleeps' is present simple and describes a habit; 'was sleeping' is past and does not fit 'at the moment'.
Q3 — Grammar
A · lost
Losing something is a single finished event in the past ('yesterday'), so the past simple 'lost' is needed. 'were losing' would present it as a long action in progress, which makes no sense here.
Q4 — Grammar

A decision made at the moment of speaking, such as an offer, is expressed with 'will' + base verb: 'I'll get'. 'I will to get' is wrong because 'to' never follows 'will'; 'I get' is present simple and does not express an offer.

'would like' is followed by the infinitive with 'to': 'Would you like to see'. 'seeing' is used after 'like' only when talking about general tastes, not an offer.

The officer says 'we'll keep it for you and return it on the last evening'. 'That's fine' means there is no problem, but not that she can take it to her cabin now.

The small plate that goes under a cup is the 'saucer'. A 'jug' is for pouring liquids and a 'bowl' is a deep dish, so neither goes under a cup.

The group is cooking methods. 'Steamed' and 'grilled' also say how food is cooked, while 'peeled' means with the skin taken off: that is preparing food, not cooking it.

The cover on a pillow is a 'pillowcase'. 'Duvet covers' go on the duvet and 'blankets' lie on top of the bed; neither goes on a pillow.

The group is bedding: things that go on the bed. A 'blanket' and a 'mattress protector' also go on the bed, but a 'shower curtain' is a bathroom fitting.
